THE WILD WHITTS IN HAWAII

Jase's FIRST plane ride...the excitement wore off after 6 hours.
Ready, set, run to the beach!
Roni would have rolled around in the sand ALL day.

Enjoying the boat ride at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Playing on the Lifeguard stand at Waikiki Beach.
HAWAII, HERE WE COME!
I think if you followed the Wild Whitts around on a vacation, you would find that it is much like a National Lampoon vacation. For the most part, everything went smooth. We were packed and loaded, ready to leave by 7 am on Thursday. We shuffled our way through the airport and managed to board the plan very last. Let's just say it is not easy maneuvering through that place with luggage and children while trying to remove everyone's shoes to pass through the metal detector. Now although we did cut it close, we did not have to wait hours in the airport lobby with screaming kids....disaster avoided ;)
It was priceless to see Jase's face as the plane lifted off the ground. He was wide-eyed as he held his tummy and giggled. We didn't get to sit together. As I mentioned, we were last to board the plane, so Dustin sat with Roni, and I sat with Jaybird. I think I got the better end of the deal.
We stepped off the plane and hailed a cab that took us directly to our hotel on the beach. Dustin said it was worth every penny as he didn't have to hear me screaming out directions in a rental car....I can't imagine myself doing that (wink, wink). The hotel was gorgeous. The lobby and check-in area was completely open with a walkway to the beach, and they had parrots, penguins, turtles, and fish throughout the grounds. They also had six pools including a man-made lagoon where they taught surf lessons. What else were the Whittakers to do, but dash to their room and change into their beach attire. And that's pretty much what we did for five days!

I am still trying to figure out why everyone else's blogs look so good and mine is blah. Back to Hawaii...looks like the Wild Whitt's are loving life too. I know...you guys need a motorcycle! Trust me, we would have a GREAT time together. You would be one hot biker mamma :)
