THE INCREDIBLE LUDLOWS

I wanted to write a shamelss plug for the Ludlows (www.ludletters.blogspot.com). We begged them to move to Cedar City after Jeremy finished school and now they're here--HOORAY! Anyway, I got to have the kids for a short amount of time while Jer & Nat traveled to SLC. As you can see, I tackled the hair challenge for Valentine's day. The girls were real troopers. I wanted to ringlet Brea's hair, but she was not having it. Afterwards, Bubba stayed for a little bit and played with Jase. They enjoyed cinammon toast and chocolate milk. I think that's all you have to feed little boys to capture their hearts because for the rest of the morning Bubba was my best bud. He even let me rock him to sleep. So thanks, Nat, for finally sharing your kids :)

HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS

So, again I'm a little behind with keeping everyone updated with the Wild Whitts! But I just had to post some pics of the Harlem Globetrotters. We were lucky enough to go with the awesome Ludlows along with Spencer and Travis. And although the evening had a rough start (dinner and seats), we had a great time. We enjoyed an all-american dinner of nachos, hot dogs, and pizza while watching the famous Harlem Globetrotters battle the Generals. It was all pre-scripted, but Jase got a kick out of the basketball player losing his shorts! He also enjoyed the souvenirs. Where else can you buy a generic jersey for $35 and a rubber basketball for $25. They must be dusted with blue gold. I guess you can't put a price on memories.

FAMILY...ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME?

You gotta love the LDS Church and their ads. They are quite catchy! Anyway, not much going on, but I wanted to post some pics of the boys. They are so darn cute, and they love their dad to pieces. Dustin wakes up with them in the morning, gives them baths, and then plays anything Jase can conjure up in his imagination. I don't know why I'm so lucky to have such a great guy, but I'm not going to bring it to God's attention as it might have been an over- sight...and I'm not giving Him any chance to fix it! Jase wanted to pull a tough face in the picture above, but it looks more like his poop face. Between him and his father, they have a million faces.

Jaxon is getting so big. He's at the stage where he knows his big brother is doing something cool, and he wants to play along. He was trying so hard to get in on the train action. If Jase just looks at him, Jaxon giggles. It's absolutely adorable. I'm loving every minute of this mom stuff :)

BLOGGIN' IS FOGGIN' MY NOGGIN'

Okay, so I have spent all day trying to create my own blogger template with an html editor. Let's just say I have officially become technologically challenged. So I gave up and stole a template from Pyzam! If I would have done this in the first place, I would have saved a lot of time. Did I just use the world "a lot." Didn't Mrs. Miller (MHS English teacher) bury that in 7th grade?

Not much going on with the Wild Whitts! I'll try to come up with something better tomorrow, but right now Dustin is going to strangle me if I don't step away from the computer.

As for the house update, we close on the loan next week...I've heard that promise before, so I'm not holding my breath. But I'll try to keep everyone updated.

TAG...I'M IT!

Whoever thought up this tagging game was pretty darn clever. And I'm guessing the creator just started it and didn't really participate. That way he/she would know oodles of embarassing or odd facts about their friends without divulging incriminating facts about themselves...sounds like my kind of person!

Crystal, my baby sister, tagged me, and now I have to list 10 random things about myself. If I didn't love her so darn much, I probably would ignore the challenge...here goes nothing:

1. Let's just start out with a humdinger--I peed my pants (15 years old) while working a night shift at the Hong Kong (chinese restaurant in Milford, Utah). I was busy ringing up customers with no time for a bathroom break. I lost all control and tried to conceal the moment by pretending to spill water on me. I had to call my big sis for another pair of pants, but the nice Chinese cook gave me an apron while I PATIENTLY waited.

2. I am obsessed with armpits. If you are wearing a tank top, I will be staring at the pits. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the fact that I never grew armpit hair until I was a Senior in high school and even now I only have to shave weekly. I'm just checking out your pit situation--the color, the pricklies, the texture. It's a need to know situation.

3. I'm a childhood thief. Here it is out in the open now. I know I'm going to feel better, especially if everyone comments that they have done it before. You know the candy bins at the local grocery store. I've stole a caramel or two before. I didn't even really feel guilty. I just remember the sweet, smooth taste of the caramel and only wanting more and more and more...

4. I hate chain emails. Everyone knows what I'm talking about. The kind that gives a sappy message or story and then asks you to pass it on to 10 more people or you will endure bad luck for a bazillion years...I delete them before I even read them.

5. I love the color red, almost any shade of red. It's true. You can check my closet. Among the hangers you will find tons of red, maroon, burgandy, dark pink. I think it stems from my Milford Tiger blood.

6. Another eye opener...I sucked my thumb until I was 8 years old. My older sisters threatened to tell my friends, and I cried. When they threatened to let my childhood boyfriends in on the secret, I vowed to stop sucking my thumb forever. I stayed up all night just to make sure it never slipped into my mouth.

7. I married my high school sweetheart. What can I say? I was lucky enough to find the right person the first time around :) And since we've been married for over 7 years, I can talk about our past makeout sessions. Like the time my two little brothers were camping on the top of the plant shelves in our living room. They watched us make out all night while my mom slept on the couch. Then the little snots tried to hold it over my head as a bargaining tool.

8. Speaking of my marriage, I pretended to shave my legs on my honeymoon because I desperately needed to poop. I didn't want Dustin thinking about me taking a big turd, so I ran the shower and locked the door.

9. I'm also a scaredy cat. One night during my high school years, I heard a tap on my window. I ran out screaming for my dad. He did a quick check with the flashlight just to make me feel better. Later Crystal, the sister that tagged me, fessed up that it was someone looking to sneak her out of the house.

10. I'm out of ideas and not much on rules, so who says there has to be a number 10...ha ha ha

STILL BLOGGIN'

Okay, so I don't keep everyone updated as much as I should. Our family has been through a whirlwind of changes (all good), so I thought I better catch everyone up on the happenings at the Whittaker house.

First change...the Whittaker house is SOLD! Yes, someone new lives at 810 Cedar Knolls. Everything worked out perfectly as my sister needed someone to rent her townhome, and we needed a place to stay while we built a new house. I know, how exciting...yet somewhat frustrating. You just want to break ground but instead it's days of cutting through red tape and permits :(

Our house closed in the middle of December, so we were up in the air about where we wanted to have Christmas. Dustin's parents were gracious enough to let Santa wreck their living room, so we headed to Milford to meet up with St. Nick. The kids were in heaven with Grandma & Grandpa Whitt and so was my husband. Let's just say that Grandma Whitt knows how to take care of a person. We had another wonderful, generous Christmas. Each day I thank my Heavenly Father for my circumstances and His ever gentle hand guiding and protecting my family.

As for the pictures posted, we finally got a half-decent family portrait. The kids pictures turned out beautiful, but I'm a little critical of the mother sitting in the family picture. Oh well, what can you do? Plastic surgery, maybe :) The hot guy sitting next to me is actually my husband. Most people mistake him for a hired model, but I just got lucky in finding me a tall, dark, and handsome man who works hard and loves me for who I am...who cares if he misses the laundry basket by a few steps or leaves crumbs on the counter. He's worth it.

Well, that's about it for today. Maybe I'll surprise everyone (and myself) by writing another blog tomorrow. I knew I could get you laughing, Nat!
