PINENUT PICKING

Jaybird swishing pop through his teeth...it's how we keep Dr. Ludlow in business ;)

Dustin trying with all his might to show off a belly...if only I had this problem!

Do they get sillier than these gals?

The Wild Whitt boys right at home in a dirt pile.

Kendra and Papa on a 4 wheeler ride.

Ain't this a good lookin' couple?!

Actually, this title is deceiving. I pretty much relaxed and watched the kids get dirty while the men picked pinenuts. My mom and dad, the Schofieldians, and us Wild Whitts headed out west one fine Saturday for some hot dogs and mountain time. It was an awesome day, and they did gather a few burrs of pinenuts. I had to post these pics....there is nothing cuter than dirty kids on a picnic :)

OUR "BUSY BEE"

Jase w/ Mrs. Brenda.

My big boy standing in line to wash his hands. Preschool is a germ free environment--Yeah Right!

Posing with the new backpack. He insisted on buying this jacket. I agreed. The boy has style!

I'm lovin' that my little guy is in Busy Bee Preschool. In good ol' Milford, both his mom and dad attended a Busy Bee Preschool with Mrs. Wiseman, so Jase thinks it's pretty neat that his school here in Enoch has the same name. His mama thinks it's pretty neat too :) Now stop growing and be my "nuggly" Jaybird forever.

AUGUST IS OVER...SNIFF, SNIFF

As the sun set on August 31, 2009, I felt a twinge of grief in my soul. A part of me was letting go of the most treasured month of the year. Time had swiftly spent its days in August, and I shed a few tears realizing I would never get the last year of my twenties back. Okay, so I didn't actually cry (crying makes me uncomfortable), but it was a little bittersweet. Good thing I have memories and pictures to keep me strong until August 2010!

I felt competely spoiled all month. Dustin bought me a fantabulous, spectacular, do-everything serger. The girls took me to lunch. I had a few birthday dinners. And I'm still enjoying the gift certificates. I mean, if I really spread out my shopping, a girl's birthday could last all year ;)

But my favorite birthday present was definitely the cake made by my honey. He went above and beyond his usual perfectness, and created a birthday masterpiece. He even went online in search of a homemade fondant recipe which he actually made himself. I documented the process in case anyone was skeptical. Anyway, here's a big THANK YOU to everyone for making me feel loved during my birthmonth. It will not be forgotton!

MY SUPERMAN!

So in all the excitement of Hawaii, I forgot to do Dustin's birthday post! How could I forget about the most important person in my life. Anyway, I'll give all my faithful readers a true David Letterman countdown...WHY DUSTIN IS MY SUPERMAN!

10. He wakes up at the butt crack of dawn while his wife and kids sleep in way too long!

9. He's stronger than a locomotive. Proof of this would be the way he throws a tarp full of grass into the back of his truck :)

8. Dustin is faster than a speeding bullet, especially when eating my home cooked meals. I LOVE that he LOVES my cookin'!

7. He's able to leap tall problems in a single bound. If you've met my Superman, you'd know that he's mellow, laid back, and able to keep his high-strung woman stress free.

6. And have you seen Dustin in tights. Okay, maybe not tights, but long johns. My Superman is sexier than Clark Kent or any other tight-wearing hero out there.

5. Dustin is also a SUPERDAD! His kids come first, and he's not too macho of a man to cuddle his boys or make sure that they always feel loved. Jase and Jax are his cryptonite...they make him melt into a super soft SUPERDAD!

4. Like Superman serves the people, Dustin is always the first to jump in when someone else needs help.

3. Unlike Superman, though, Dustin doesn't need lazer eyes. His gorgeous green eyes are enough to melt my heart on any given day. And let's not forget his little tush of steel...

2. And although Superman's cape is just fashion, Dustin always provide a cape of protection for his family. There is no one I feel safer with than my honey! And the number one reason Dustin is my Superman...

1. He's not just around for a movie and a few sequels. Dustin is mine forever. I'm grateful for his testimony in the gospel and our eternal family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DUSTIN!

"FLOATIN" IN THE PARADE

I was just thinking I better do my 4th of July post before we're into August. This year the Lawn Ranger's sexetary got all ambitious and decided to do a float in the Milford parade. Good thing she had LOTS of helpers. After a few nights of decorating and one slow drive (10 mph) into town, we managed to pull off FIRST PLACE! Dustin and I had tons of fun driving the mowers up and down mainstreet throwing candy and tshirts. Get ready for next year you Milford bloggers, we just might make this a tradition!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPH!

Here's a shout out to one of the world's best sisters! She's gorgeous, talented, super smart, and one heck of a mother/wife. I don't know how my crazy brother managed to snag this one, but I couldn't be happier. Steph, I hope you have a fantastic day. May all your dreams come true!
